إدارة بايدن توافق على صفقة صواريخ تكتيكية نوعية إلى مصر

وافقت إدارة الرئيس الأميركي جو بايدن على بيع صواريخ تكتيكية من من طراز (RAM) بلوك 2 والمعدات ذات الصلة إلى مصر، مما يعزز قدرة الجيش المصري على حماية السواحل وقناة السويس.

وقالة وكالة التعاون الأمني الدفاعي التابعة لوزارة الدفاع الأميركية إن وزارة الخارجية اتخذت قرارًا بالموافقة على صفقة عسكرية محتملة مع مصر تشمل صواريخ تكتيكية من طراز (RAM) بلوك 2 للصواريخ والمعدات ذات الصلة بتكلفة تقديرية تبلغ 197 مليون دولار.

وذكرت الوكالة أنها قدمت الشهادة المطلوبة لإخطار الكونجرس بهذه الصفقة.

وأوضحت الوكالة أن الصفقة العسكرية “ستدعم السياسة الخارجية والأمن القومي للولايات المتحدة من خلال المساعدة في تحسين أمن دولة حليفة رئيسية من خارج الناتو والتي لا تزال شريكًا استراتيجيًا مهمًا في الشرق الأوسط”.

كما ستدعم هذه الصفقة سفن الصواريخ السريعة التابعة للبحرية المصرية، وستوفر قدرات دفاعية محسنة بشكل كبير على المناطق الساحلية المصرية ومداخل قناة السويس، بحسب البيان، الذي أوضح أن مصر لن تجد صعوبة في استيعاب هذه المعدات في قواتها المسلحة لأن مصر تقوم بالفعل بتشغيل صواريخ RAM Block 1A التي تم شراؤها مسبقًا.
