علق علاء مبارك نجل الرئيس الراحل محمد حسني مبارك على تصريحات فضيلة الإمام الأكبر الدكتور أحمد الطيب، شيخ الأزهر الشريف، بشأن مزج الديانات السماوية الثلاث «اليهودية والمسيحية والإسلام» في ديانة واحدة تسمي بـ«الإبراهيمية».

كان شيخ الأزهر قد قال تعليقاً على الحديث بشأن مزج الديانات السماوية الثلاث قائلًا: «إن الدعوى بوجود ديانة إبراهيمية أو ما يسمي بالدين الإبراهيمي مثلها مثل دعوى العولمة ونهاية التاريخ والأخلاق العالمية وغيرها..

وإن كانت تبدو في ظاهرها دعوى للاجتماع الإنساني وتوحيده والقضاء على أسباب نزاعاته وصراعاته، إلا أنها هي نفسها دعوى لمصادرة أغلي ما يمتلكه بنو الإنسان وهو حرية الاعتقاد وحرية الإيمان وحرية الاختيار».
